Gmail gets Background Customization Feature – Google has
added another element of eye-candy at its Web mail service -Gmail. Over two years
ago, Google added to Gmail themes that certainly affected many users, geeks and
Gmail loyalists. Starting today, Google will allow you to customize your Gmail account
with any image or your own custom image for the background. You wonder why Gmail
has taken so long to introduce this feature. Note that adding a background image
for your massive Gmail can make your browser a little bit slower. To customize the
background image in Gmail, go to "Settings" tab or click here to go directly to
Gmail. On the Themes tab, the last option is "Create your own theme" where you must
click and a pop-up window will appear. There, you will have a wire like a snapshot
of your Gmail account, where you can customize the different areas with the colors
of your choice. Click on the small box in the upper left of this window to give
you a menu of colors and an option to download the image.
