Google Takes Gmail Voice Calling Global, Lowers Rates – Slightly
less than a year, Google merged Google Voice functionality into Gmail and made it
possible to place VoIP (Voice over IP) phone calls directly from Gmail to any landline
or mobile phone. Now Google's Gmail voice calls becoming more attractive by
expanding the program to 38 countries around the world, and lower rates at the same
time. In starting this service was available only in the United States and Canada.
Calls to numbers within the United States and Canada are completely free (and will

Google to shut down Slide apps – Google decided to abandon
Slide applications which include Pool Party, Photovine and disco, the report said.
Slide, social gaming startup, was acquired by Google and currently works as a standalone
unit. But the application running by the division has never been properly advertised
on Google, although previously thought to be part of the plan. Slide applications
will still slide shows were very popular on MySpace in its heyday, and found success
